Dear JCI friends,
Greetings from JCI World Headquarters!
I hope this message finds you well. As you know, JCI members around the world have been working to send nets and save lives through the JCI Nothing But Nets campaign since 2008. This August, the UN Foundation will distribute insecticide-treated nets in Cameroon alongside UNICEF, PSI and other UN partners. This marks an incredible opportunity for JCI members to get involved in the global campaign to end malaria deaths.
JCI Cameroon is working closely with the government, UNICEF and the UN Foundation to raise awareness for malaria in Cameroon, and also to support the distribution in any way possible. Now, it's your turn. JCI Cameroon and the people of Cameroon need your help to raise the funds necessary to close the gap of nets that still remains to achieve universal coverage.
From today until August 15, every donation raised will go directly to the net distribution in Cameroon to help close the gap. Donate through a special team on the Nothing But Nets netraiser team (bit.ly/JCICameroon) or directly to JCI World Headquarters by credit card, check or wire transfer. Please note that if you will send a donation to JCI World Headquarters, it must be received by August 15 in order to benefit Cameroon.
Please find below a message from JCI Cameroon National President Takor Takor asking your support in combatting malaria in Cameroon.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and support.
Best regards,
Edson A. Kodama

My Colleagues JCI National Presidents and JCI members worldwide,
On behalf of nearly 1500 members of JCI Cameroon I extend greetings to you all from Africa in miniature- Cameroon! I hope you all are having a year of impact in every community around the world.
JCI Cameroon is joining forces with the United Nations Foundation and UNICEF in helping the Government of Cameroon procure and distribute 10 million insecticide treated mosquito bed nets. This project will enable universal coverage in Cameroon reaching some 20 million people and expected to reduce the incidence of Malaria by 50 - 90% if effective. So far 8.1 million Bet nets have been procured and ready to be distributed leaving a gap of 1.9 million bed nets. JCI Cameroon has taken on the task of fund raising to close this gap from the civil society, partners and JCI friends from around the world.
I therefore write to you today to ask for your support in helping us close this gap of 1.9 million nets needed. We have never been this close to making a direct impact on the lives of millions of people. Besides the distribution, we will be involved in raising awareness about Malaria, educating people about the impact of Malaria and ensuring that the mosquito nets are used effectively. Your prompt response to this call would enable us to impact our Country positively and help strenghten the image of our organization not only in Cameroon but around the world.
From July 25 to August 15 we will be embarking on a campaign to raise as much funds as possible to support this campaign. You can make your donations online directly to the United Nations Foundation or to the JCI World Headquarters. No donation is too small to save a life, but remember with $10, you can send a net to Cameroon and save a life.
Together lets impact the world!!!!!!
Kindest regards,
Takor Takor
